Having been exposed to this sector with Mediplacements I was asked to start a division supplying locum staff through the various different professions under AHP & HSS. Despite having previously been on Pharmacy in the HSS division of my previous company, I targeted Occupational Therapy to start the division as this was a profession that was practiced within the NHS & acute hospital settings as well as within social services & community settings, allowing me to combine my experience of dealing with local authorities and NHS. The department was covering costs and making profit within the first month of being established. I was able to place candidates within NHS placements despite Evergood not being on the national framework agreement as a registered supplier for the AHP & HSS contract. I was also able to secure two new supply contracts for local authorities for the business which not only benefited my department, but opened up new supply agreements for my old department in Social Care. Shortly before moving on to join Hojona I worked closely with the companies CEO in tendering for the national framework for supply in to the NHS for AHP & HSS. I completed the supply contact and pricing schedule for the CEO to then submit for tender, and shortly after I left the company they were accepted on to the national framework as a result of this work.

Upon identifying my previous experience the company Director quickly appointed me to the new Social Care division. My input within the start up process covered everything from input and proof reading all standard docs (Reg pack, Mail shots, Client and Candidate letters) to quickly sourcing the first client and securing the division’s first placement. Shortly after I was join by a former colleague from Match Group, and continued to grow the department to 7k weekly profit within 6 months. I continued to work on the department whilst it grew to 8 consultants and one admin officer for two years before moving on to the Psychiatry department where I assisted starting up the company’s latest department. Once the Psychiatry department had been successfully established I returned to the Social Care division to be promoted to Team Leader. I have since continued to contribute to the growth of the department and its staff.
