Stuart Hurst is a PhD Researcher at University of Bristol Law School. Colleagues describe him as "I taught Stuart A Level Spanish at St. Mary's College in Blackburn and he was a memorable student for different reasons. First of all, he was extremely hard-working and put a lot of effort in the subject; from attendance, to homework and independent study and to interest in extra curricular activities. As an example, I remember on one occasion, him being one of the only two students who came back to the classroom to complete the viewing of the film 'Volver'. He was very committed and determined to achieve a high grade in the subject even though he could encounter difficulties at some point. Secondly, it was a real pleasure to have Stuart as he is the type of student that makes the profession enriching and rewarding. He was always very engaged and very participative, which made his learning successful. Lastly, he was very passionate about Spanish and I am sure that he is still able to use his language skills in any situation. As his former teacher, I strongly recommend Stuart and I wish him all the best in his career."
