Neetek's mission is to help IT departments of mid-sized enterprises (100 to 1,000 employees) with the constant yet somewhat zany ebb and flow of IT staffing and project needs that arise when a company gets to this size. When a company is at this midrange size they are clearly past the point where they can effectively "boot strap" to keep the lights on, but they don't quite have the resources to cover every single IT practice area in-house. Neetek bridges this gap by means of delivering projects that clients don't have the time or expertise to do, and also by providing desktop/sysadmin/networking staff coverage in the event of inevitable events like vacations and sick leave.

Being the head of technology (and the only technology person employed) at the firm required knowledge of each business unit's requirements and processes. This required quick-thinking, time management, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Within the first year of joining the firm, I was able to take the company from a one server, one application model with tape backups for disaster recovery (DR), to a completely virtualized server model with a collocated DR site. Most recently, after performing thorough budgetary analysis, it was decided to go with a subscription model and migrate the firm's entire infrastructure to a third party.Another part of my duties was to ensure that the firm's IT strategy and systems were compliant with SEC rules and recommendations. Working closely with the CCO, we developed comprehensive policies and procedures to address regulatory concerns, such as cyber security, incident response, and third party review. As investor concerns typically follow regulatory concerns, it was necessary to meet with potential and existing investors to address any questions/concerns they had surrounding the firm's IT systems and strategy.

Supported the entire server and desktop infrastructure with the help of a desktop support technician which I managed. Some notable achievements include:• Assisted the Director of IT in determining requirements for new a office space (e.g. office power/network requirements, server room layout) and facilitating the physical move of equipment. • Designed and implemented disaster recovery (DR) solution in Las Vegas, NV utilizing XOSoft replication.• Developed scripts to assist with system administration, trade flow, and created a BlackBerry app to hold DR information.

• Responsible for training and supervising Jr. Computer Technicians and Computer Lab Consultants. • Managed Haas Computing Services Helpdesk Service Request System in the absence of the helpdesk manager. • Provided technical support for 250+ workstations - hardware, software, and network. • Managed multiple projects, job calls, and special assignments on a daily basis. • Provided user support and tutorials for network access, file management, and general computer use. • Sustained a strong customer service oriented mindset, requiring good oral and written communication skills. • Created and maintained "How Do I" documentation, service procedures/standards.
