Within the mining industry, I have over 10 years of experience as a Safety and Rescue Trainer and Assessor and HSEQ Advisor. I have had the opportunity to gain best practice skills whilst delivering high risk & HSEQ courses for industry leading companies FMG, Rio Tinto, BP, Transfield Services, WaterCorp, and BHP Billiton.Over the years, I have acquired a wealth of safety, rescue and training experience in both site-based and office-based environments; I’ve developed clients ranging from apprentice tradesmen to executive staff. I have also coached and mentored over 45 Trainers and Assessors and ‘on-the-job’ Trainers at peak.Versatility and flexibility are characteristics I possess demonstrably. I have often worked in Operator roles, and have led teams of up to 25 personnel at the Western Australian Police Force. In addition, I possess excellent academic qualifications in the training field – I completed a Diploma of Training and Assessing, a Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety, and an Advanced Diploma of Business Management.My aptitude and interests lie in safety & rescue training as well as training package development and implementation. I am passionate about safety, training efficiency programs, and monitoring compliance. In my communications-focused profession, networking and liaison are of paramount importance.
