I was reporting to the Customer Service Director and managed 70 employees which included 5 team leaders. The 5 inbound/outbound customer service teams where Convenience/Foodservice, Distributors, Supermarkets, Cheese/Gourmet and Export operating seven days a week servicing over 60,000 customers nationally which equated to approximately 250,000 orders per month. Not only did I lead my customer service teams through the merger between National Foods and Lion Nathan, I played an active part in the recruitment process of my Team Leaders (and second round customer service team members) as well as mentoring and educating them in Lion Nathans’ culture and behavioral values. I also set the teams’ KPI’s and their adherence to them. My management of these customer service teams saw an overall improvement in levels of customer satisfaction as outlined in my achievements.I also provided input into the Business Solutions Department, identified opportunities to expand the International Services area, managed departments’ budget and forecasting requirements and delivered month end financial reporting and commentary. I worked closely with the sales, logistics, planning & production and international marketing teams to help further grow the businesses international growth strategy. -
