President
CurrentAs the President of the Portland Winterhawks, I am the go to person on day to day operations of the 501(c)(3) Registered Charity. I organize Fan Trips to select away games, book hotels, schedule tickets and coordinate the trip itself. I help run a fan table with 11 other volunteers that assist in ensuring every fan attending the home game has a positive experience. I help organize membership, assist with player appearances and help to locate products and services to make every experience with the Booster Club a positive one. Our main goal each year is to raise funds for the Player's Education Fund. For each year the player plays in the Western Hockey League (WHL) they are entitled to a year of tuition and books at a registered University. On average, the Booster Club donates close to 10 thousand dollars each year to this fund. We also contribute money and services to many other charities connected either with hockey or are partners of the Portland Winterhawks. Our website http://www.pwhbc.com can show some of the different things we do to raise funds. This past year, we connected with the Sunshine Division collecting nearly a ton of food for their pantry to assist local low income families. We collected blankets and socks for the Union Gospel Mission to help the homeless, bought new junior hockey equipment for Mountain View Ice Arena in Vancouver, WA for peewee, squirt and mites and collected nearly 6 thousand dollars for Jack Jablonski charities to aid in his recovery from a spinal cord injury due to a hockey accident and assist in research into the same. Our address for Tax Deductible donations is Portland Winterhawks Booster Club (PWHBC) PO Box 6768 Portland, OR, 97228-6768
