I am an enthusiastic and dedicated Recruitment Consultant within British Gas in Cardiff. I have been with our company for 22 years and in my present role for the last 13 years. My personal strengths include excellent interpersonal skills, an approachable and caring manner, a positive approach to all aspects of my work and a desire to always deliver to the best of my ability.I am proud to be the Recruitment Consultant for our award winning Cardiff contact centre, a position I've held since 2005 and for which I'm pleased to say we have won many awards for our recruitment process. I am part of a dedicated team of Recruitment Consultants who work directly for British Gas throughout the country, all of whom provide an excellent service and who aim to source the best and most talented people for our contact centres as well as other areas of the business.

My previous experience includes being a Team Leader (1998 - 2005), leading, developing & motivating teams of between 8 - 20 Customer Sales Executives, ensuring my teams achieved company objectives through effective performance management and coaching on high quality customer service, and by managing the contractors we rely on to install new gas supplies and meters. Also Project Work on Quality Assessing, collating and analysing data, implementing change and improving overall results with great success. As part of my Team Leader role specifically on the Supplier Management Team, I also ran a analysis project on reducing Rejections received as part of the installation of gas pipes and meters, liaising with my network to deliver impressive reductions in rejections to improve customer satisfaction and reduce the calls relating to these issues.

Following on from my work on Customer Relations, I was appointed as Customer Focus Developer (1997 - 1998) - looking at the business from a customer's viewpoint and representing the customer (internal and external) within the business. I created and worked on an Action Plan for Cardiff, collating and analysing the data gathered in order to implement quality improvements, providing management information, helping to retain customers, and establishing Customer Focus in Cardiff. The role also included giving presentations to new starters on expectations, liaising with management teams on all departments, providing excellent customer service and attending roadshows to promote British Gas.

Customer Relations (1996 - 1997) - I was responsible for resolving high level customer enquiries, liaising with consumer bodies, customers and external companies; arranging case studies to share best practice; collating / providing management information; decision making.

Domestic Supply Point Administration (1996) - Duties included resolving disputed final meter readings; resolving erroneous transfers by liaising with competitors; providing management information; establishing the DSPA process in Cardiff. Acheived promotion to our Customer Relations department.
