National University Of Costa Rica
I developed curricula and taught methods, materials, and emergent theory for all levels of undergraduate study in Sculpture. I assisted the School of Art and Visual Communication with a strategic vision to expand the role of fine art in the local community. I also directed outreach initiatives which included multidisciplinary research, art exhibitions, symposia, grant writing, and foreign study.

Assistant Program Director: Program For International Study In Sculpture, Eastern Europe
I assisted in all aspects of program planning and management. Duties included co-directing all educational activities, and directing the second half of the summer program. During that portion of the initiative I led students on cultural tours of Riga, Latvia; Tallin, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; and Helsinki, Finland. In each city my students conducted guided research on key political figures, major historical events, and the relevance of the major works of art and architecture we visited.

I authored, planned, and co-directed all aspects of a Sculpture Study Abroad Initiative that included faculty and student participants from East Carolina University, Georgia State University, and the National University of Costa Rica. My students created large-scale wood carvings during the symposium on the campus of the National University of Costa Rica. We then traveled to a biological field station in the Southern Pacific Coastal Region for introductory field study in rain forest ecology and Conscientious Material Consumption.
