About Stuart King

Founder and Artistic Director of acclaimed chamber ensemble CHROMA since 1997. Have performed at all the major U.K. concert halls and festivals and extensively abroad. Now enjoy dividing my time equally between performing and teaching/ mentoring the UKs next generation of young clarinettists and composers. Close ties to Royal Academy of Music, Oxford University, Trinity LABAN Conservatoire and Royal Holloway University of London as well as past partnerships with Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Cardiff University, Birmingham Conservtoire and Baris Icin Muzik in Istanbul. Long-standing relationships with Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Tete-A-Tete Opera and Iford Opera.Regular guest chamber music coach, competition adjudicator, mentor and tutor.Interested in an holistic approach to teaching incorporating mindfulness and sports psychology.
