Management of a small team responsible for short-term and long-term funding, cashflow management, hedging, financial risk management, budgeting and forecasting, treasury operations and internal / external bank reporting. Cumulative funding raised of US$2.8B via bilateral and syndicate financings covering 1 / 3 / 5 year timeframes (12 separate loans) including one hybrid sustainability linked loan. I was involved in the preparation of the bank model, information memorandum, review of facility agreements, discussions with banks/lawyers, compliance reporting and preparation of board papers.• Getting safe returns for cash given low interest rate environment over last decade. Investment and management of all surplus cash including proceeds from 2020 equity raise of A$1B. Able to extract extra 10-20 bp through call around to banks for rates on commercial paper, term deposits and more structured hybrid approaches using swaps and depositing in different currencies to take account of rate arbitrage. • Improve upon manual processes and legacy banking partnerships that didn’t meet company’s growth. Improved treasury financial risk management policy given implementation of SAP treasury system allowing for automated internal controls and led a transaction banking tender (and led subsequent implementation and testing of bank partner) to find a bank with a platform allowing for tighter internal controls.

I performed the FX conversion from the equity raise and investment (A$1B to USD) and the refinance of existing facilities through preparation of an information memorandum, bank model, review of facility agreement and discussions with banks.
