About Stuart Kopperman
I am currently retired as of 3/31/2021. Although I think I’ll stay retired, I was coaxed out of retirement once before by an interesting consulting job. So who knows what the future will bring. I have over 35 years of experience in project management and information technology both on customer-facing projects and as a leader of corporate process governance, definition, and improvement teams, in addition to corporate M&A diligence activities. I share my experience through long- and short-term consulting assignments to IT and US Government contracting organizations. I am based out of the Washington, D.C., area.I work. effectively with diverse and distributed teams, communicating equally well with leaders, managers, subject matter experts, and technical staff. As a consultant to a major educational technology company, I was a member of their PMO for several internal initiatives and also defined improvements to their global sales process to reduce redundancy and eliminate waste. I helped manage that company’s divestiture of a segment of their business during the transition and separation period to ensure a smooth migration for staff and clients to the new company’s systems and processes. As SRA’s Senior Director, Project Process Management, I was responsible for the pragmatic, efficient application of policies and best practices across SRA projects. I kept SRA’s standard project management (PM) and engineering processes aligned with evolving business needs and developed training to bring these practices to project teams. Previously, I managed, engineered, and built components of large and small information systems, with involvement throughout the full system life cycle. My US Government customers ranged from DoD to Civil to Health.
Listed skills include Project Management, Program Management, Process Improvement, Requirements Analysis, and 27 others.
