Working alongside the BBC Arts Commissioner in Factual Business Affairs to coordinate all BBC Arts output in light of the Director General's announcement to augment Arts content delivered by the BBC. Contracting Independent Production companies, negotiating Partnership Agreements with high profile Arts establishments, Acquiring programmes and Licencing content from third parties. Working with BBC Planning and Commercial and Funding teams with regards to scheduling requirements and finance; also overseeing the BBC's In-House Production Department and managing a team dedicated to delivering the Director's General pledge.

Negotiation of Long Term Presenter Contracts for BBC Radio Networks. Advising Heads of Radio Networks on various Presenter contract issues in relation to schedule changes, third party work, confidentiality and publicity among other things. Coordination of Business Affairs activities in harmony with the creative plans prepared by Production. Responsible for BBC Year of Music initiative - advising and contracting the BBC's Festival output across all services. Responsible for Access/Location Agreements, contracting Independent Production companies producing programmes for the BBC, Programme Acquisitions and acquiring and renewing Licences.

Negotiation of long term contracts for Factual presenters and high value freelance contributors, prominent actors and presenters for BBC television & radio programmes. Interpretation of legal union agreements to advise production teams of their obligations. Chair of regular meetings with Senior Production and Business Affairs colleagues to discuss BBC policy & highlight areas of difficulty in forthcoming productions and provide recommendations and solutions. Provide costs and negotiate clearance for new media initiatives, such as content broadcast on the iPlayer, Digital & Interactive channels, bbc.co.uk, VOD & Podcasting. Working with the BBC's Commercial Agency to determine Co-Producer investment into BBC programmes, providing input and agreeing JCP terms. Undertake line management responsibility within team.
