My role involves working with all levels of the university's leadership providing support in strategy and operational plan development. Identification and resolution of strategic issues related to planning, as well as providing critical advice and guidance on data, planning and performance. Leading the institutional approach to the planning round, business planning, five year forecasting of recruitment and finance, performance reviews and the use of business intelligence. Working as part of a team of faculty business partners to ensure the relationship between the faculties and planning team, providing critical advice and guidance on planning and performance. This includes helping to develop and deliver strategic plans in alignment to the strategic framework. Advice and briefings are provided to university and faculty leadership teams, task groups and committees on specific planning related activities. Scenario planning and environment scanning are integral to long term strategic planning and the development of business plans. Being a member of the faculty's executive committee enables me to have input at its highest level, participating in planning activities and ensuring strategic direction. Lead on student recruitment forecasting having created the processes and SQL model. This intelligence informs the 5-year planning of student numbers and institutional financial budgeting. My time at the university has provided a view from many different perspectives, and I believe this gives me the advantage of thinking outside of the box.

Line management of the faculty planning partners whilst retaining my position as planning partner for the faculty of technology.

Working in Strategic Planning Service with my planning role based within the faculty of technology. Liasing with the faculty executive and aiding them with the integrated planning exercise. This includes workforce planning, key performance indicators, benchmarking, risk documents, faculty strategy and student number forecasting.

Supporting the admissions team within Student and Academic Services. Using MS SQL to update and create datasets, WebFocus and Tableau to create reports and dashboards. Updating and running enrolment projections, confirmation and clearing reporting, executive recruitment reports as well as operational reporting and data analysis. Engagement with senior stakeholders from all levels of the institution regarding insight and intelligence from available data.
