These have included:• E&I block cabling diagrams• Single line diagrams (13.8KV/3.3KV/440V)• Motor schematics• Loop diagrams• I/O schedule• Cable schedules• Layout drawings (substation and plant)• Junction box layout and termination diagrams• Marshalling cabinet termination diagrams• Cable routing, installation scope of work and bulk material take off.• Decommissioning of the existing overhead 13.8KV feeders and two existing 13.8KV substations that were located within the footprint for the new pond.• Installation of new underground cable feeders, two new substations required to power the new 3.3KV cooling water pumps and existing mud booster pumps, two new controllogix PLCs, and a new fibre optic network to support the new and existing control systems, LAN, PCN, VOIP and the fire alarm systems. My responsibilities included:• Managing a number of small projects from the conceptual design phases right through to thecommissioning and hand over stage.• Providing technical support for the construction team.Some of the projects I worked on at Lucite International included:• DCS hardware changeover within the Natural Gas skid which involved changing the existing Moore Excel system to a new Yokogawa CS3000 system.• Factory acceptance testing of the new DCS hardware at the Yokogawa factory, updating of all associated documents and overseeing of the cutover.• Monomer 8 DCS control room refurbishment which was a complete strip-out of the existing consoles, lighting, small power and the installation of new computers, touch sensitive screens, CCTV, lighting, small power, HVAC and fire alarm system. The changeover was completed with the control room in use for 100% of the renovation without losing control of the plant.• Electrical Infrastructure Project: Replacement of the aging switchgear and MCC’s across the site. I was the electrical designer involved in the estimating, detailed design and construction for this project.• Strong Acid Coolers Anodic Corrosion Control – Working alongside the Plant Asset Manager, Icompleted the design package required to replace the existing anodic corrosion control system with a new Mercad system from Canada.
