I am an experienced software engineer with a strong background in embedded C and C++ on a variety of OSs including Linux, RTOS, and VxWorks. I currently have 15+ years of experience at ARRIS (formally Motorola) in Cable TV set-top and headend device development, as well as 2 years under contract at Bose designing and developing embedded C++11 software for their Sound Bar speaker systems.I have also had several years in both front-end and back-end web development (primarily in JavaScript and NodeJS) freelancing through Upwork. Additionally, my experience at ARRIS has included about 1 1/2 years in developing web page and web server applications (using REST protocols) designed to interface with Cable TV set-tops. Although my primary past experience is in video and audio processing, I have also worked previously for 2 years at Moldflow in CAD/CAE graphics development. Additionally, I have several years experience in the automotive industry as a machinist programming servo-mechanisms for CNC machine tools in embedded assembly and machine code.
