Working three day per week, completed successfully architecting, designing, building and delivering the near real-time replication infrastructure and a data replication project for data being replicated from an IBM mainframe (databases IMS and DB2; data maintained online and via overnight batch updates) to a cloud-based SQL Server database for a Victorian Government agency using an agile development and delivery methodology.The near real-time data replication went live mid September 2020 without any data faults.The cloud-based SQL database’s data is now being used by the newly developed self-service portal application that allows the agency’s clients to utilise a modern, fast and accurate service the eliminating data quality issues, including revenue leakage, inherent in the existing paper based service of the last decades.

Architected the near real-time data replication between an IBM mainframe (databases IMS and DB2) to a SQL Server database for a Victorian Government agency.Lead a Proof of Concept to determine if near real-time bi-directional data replication between 30+ year old mainframe application using IBM DBMSs (relational (DB2) and non-relational (IMS)) and a single modern SQL database (MS SQL Server) was feasible in the client’s environment. Enabled additional POCs by providing data to these POCs using the same data replication mechanism proving scalability, performance and ease of development.Developed the data and technical data replication architecture to build the foundational infrastructure that enables delivery of the data required to support the client’s business requirements such that changes to requirements are quick, easy and simple to change or develop in an Agile environment.

Initially lead the team developing an integrated Data Obfuscation (data de-identification) solution for a Victorian Government agency’s multi year project to enable their entire production data set to be used during development and testing by 'off-shore' personnel without the possibility of data breaches. Later in the project I became responsible for a team developing the automated overall multi-cyclic multi-use Data Migration solution for the entity which includes data obfuscation when moving the production data to the development and testing environments during the course of the multi year project and without obfuscation when preparing for Production Go-Live.
