My wider role was two-fold: as part of the regional leadership team, and as part of the company’s strategically focused profit protection department.

I had responsibility for risk management, corporate audit, security, store compliance, loss prevention and investigations – working through three direct reports, a further 13 staff and a large outsourced contract. I made a key contribution to the company’s shrinkage strategy and my investigations team more than doubled its effectiveness in case load and.
