I am involved with the day to day management of Loreburns subsidiary company Dumfries and Galloway Homes and the maintenance projects that they carry out. I am also responsible for the inspection and improvement of the associations void properties; preparing these to go back to the rental market. Within my current role I was responsible for a 300,000 sqft property portfolio that includes Universities, several SME, local government offices and residential properties on 85 acre Conservation Estate. I am responsible for the following:• Manage the day to day running of the maintenance team• Manage property portfolio of existing and new facilities• Establish terms and conditions for property leasing and rental• Appoint contractors, identify brief and scope of works • Assess and evaluate reported maintenance issues with Estates Team• Negotiate dilapidations works • Review existing property management processes, procedures and systems • Ensure properties are properly maintained with Estates team• Prepare rental, maintenance and landscaping budgets with Estates team and Managing Director • Ensure service are delivered to agreed timescales and KPI’s • Pursue commercial opportunities

At Loreburn Housing Association I held the position of Investment Officer where I was responsible for the following:• Management of planned and cyclical maintenance projects• Procure prices and put contractors in place for works • Liaise with and involve stakeholders• Identify and manage potential risks • Contribute to committee and management team reports • Consider Legislation, guidance and Loreburn’s policy and procedure• Carry out project audits ensure high performance is achieved • Budget control and process payments• Keep Accurate and up to date records of all workOver the past 6 years I have been working towards achieving the Scottish Housing Quality Standards by 2015 and more recently the standards set by EESSH. The maintenance works that I have been involved in have varied significantly in value and size and have often required multiple trades to be involved with each project. I have been involved with a varying range of maintenance works that have varied significantly and have often involved multiple trades with each project including kitchen and door and window replacements to external insulated render replacements and heating replacements. I also manage the cyclical maintenance programme including: legionella, asbestos management, fire and smoke alarms, periodic electrical inspections, grounds maintenance and communal and window cleaning.
