SSS Surf School has moved! From April 2021, we’ll be opening our doors from our new location on Towan Beach in Newquay.Holding prime position right on the promenade, we’re just steps away from the beautiful Towan Beach and the surrounding Newquay beaches. We’re open all year round from sunrise until sunset and we cater for all levels of riders, from beginners to advanced.We have a unique range of boards which cater for complete beginners to a specialist range of longboards for advanced riders. We’re the only surf school in Newquay that is sponsored by O’Neill, so you get to surf in style and warmth each time with top of the range O’Neill wetsuits, with hoods, gloves and boots as optional.Our team are experienced, professional surfers, ISA qualified and are there to ensure that any budding surfers have fun in the surf while learning the core water safety and surf skills they need to start shredding those waves. Our customers always walk away with a smile on their face and lasting memories.We also offer stand up paddle boarding (SUP) lessons and tours – our SUP coaches are experienced and knowledgeable and they will teach you the core technical skills you need to be able to paddle board but also how to judge weather patterns and surf conditions to be able to paddle board safely.Towan Beach is located right at the heart of Newquay, it’s the first in a string of beaches which make up Newquay bay. Towan is nestled between the harbour or ‘New Quay’ and Great Western beach, it’s a lovely sheltered beach with flat golden sand.Towan is easily accessed, its located right in the centre of Newquay and within easy walking distance of the shops and Newquay’s many carparks. The beach itself is super easy to find, it can be access via Killacourt (down the steps) or via Beach Road, which provides steep but easy access for buggies and wheelchairs. Disabled access to the beach is facilitated by a sand chair hire scheme on the promenade.Towan is a pretty safe bet for families looking for safe bathing waters and budding surfers as its waters are protected by RNLI lifeguards from May to October. It is also a dog friendly beach all year round.The Promenade at Towan Beach caters for many tastes with the Bakery, Fish and Chip Shop and shops serving different snacks and refreshments. It is home to the Newquay Aquarium, one of Newquay’s most popular attractions. There are also showers, lockers and changing rooms available on the Promenade, accompanied by a beautiful range of rainbow coloured beach huts. We are perfectly situated with steps to the beach
