Having established Arctic Wolf in 2010, as a sole trader, I have grown the company to become the largest manufacturer of active dog sports equipment in the UK. Now re-branded to ORKA Outdoors Ltd, we own various brands including Arctic Wolf (B2B active dog products) and Purple Dog (B2C dog retail sales) as well as distributing for various other independent dog and outdoor related brands.My original Arctic Wolf brand is now registered as part of the Made in Britain alliance and is available globally through a network of retailers and distributors.We also offer bespoke design and manufacture for other active dog and outdoor brands, utilising our full suite of facilities in our own factory and warehouse on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

I have over 20 years experience of the outdoor sector, ranging from not for profit clubs and organisations to restructures of large outdoor centres/providers. I can offer bespoke advice, guidance and training on many aspects of successful development of outdoor learning related organisations. Responsible for strategically sourcing, contracting and operational elements, in relation to NCS. Currently, with a focus on centralised procurement of the adventurous activity team building phase, with possible development in other areas of the programme, as deemed appropriate in future.

Overall responsibility for procurement and management of adventurous activity residential programmes, as part of the NCS government contract. Residential places strategically sourced and contracted for 40,000 young people over a 2 year period, as part of a central procurement process.

Responsible for ensuring that young people taking part in the National Citizen Service programme are provided with high quality, safe outdoor learning experiences during an adventurous team building week. Including working with major providers to ensure that prices provide best value and remain competitive.

Providing support, advice, guidance and training for countywide voluntary youth organisations. Also the delivery of high quality youth work training for young people entering into the sector.

Development of a sustainable outdoor learning centre, from a nil customer base to a 250k turnover within after a large Sport England grant. Ensuring that the centre operated in a customer focused, safe effective manager with high quality staffing in place to deliver student centred outdoor activity sessions.
