I have been working in the drilling industry since 1986. My initial employer was Wallis Drilling based in Perth, Western Australia. I was promoted to Driller in 1988 and learned the basics of Diamond Drilling, air core, conventional hammer, and geotechnical drilling. Since then I have worked with multiple drilling systems , and a variety of Drill Rigs in various capacities, from manager to operator and trainer.In 1993 by Pt. Longyear Mintek,offered me the opportunity to work in Indonesia as a supervisor, which I was happily accepted, since then I have worked in Africa, Asia and Central America.Over the course of my career I have worked with Helicopter Rigs, operated rigs underground, worked on Geo-Thermal, Deep Hole Directional breakthrough holes and Geo-Tech work . I have set up and run Diamond and RC contracts in many country's and have been responsible for the training and safety of local personnel . I have operated rigs varying from LY 44 to UDR1200.During my time in the drilling industry I have gained a great amount of experience and knowledge which I am happy to share with others to make the job safer and more productive.
