I engage with individuals, groups, organisations and partner agencies in the community to explore educational needs and support young people and adults to partake in CLD activities and programmes. Liaising with management in the design, promotion, implementation and evaluation of suitable learning opportunities to then deliver a range of community based learning programmes & activities.I provide initial and ongoing guidance and support for learners and encourage them to progress onto further learning opportunities.

CLD TUTORCurrently involved in the delivery of a Community Lifestyle / Health & Wellbeing programme. Term-time course that provides with knowledge and information on various aspects of health and fitness. Learners have the opportunity to take part in various forms of exercise as part of the course, and develop the necessary skills to design their own exercise programme and measure associated change in fitness levels. Working with community partners to deliver specialist advice in stress management, smoking and alcohol to provide a diverse range of knowledge. Delivery for CLD also includes specialised Falls Prevention classes for the elderly. These classes offer physical activity to enhance the health and quality of the lives of older people who may have had falls, at the risk of falling or have balance issues. Also the classes help with posture and stability and are suited for those who have osteoporosis. These classes provide a safe, effective and enjoyable physical activity in the community.• To provide Community Learning & Development Services & to deliver appropriate learning opportunities in a variety of settings to meet the particular learning needs of individuals/groups.• Provide an appropriate environment for learning.• Develop course curriculum as required. Produce course descriptors and complete a session plan.• Assess individual/group learning needs and use a range of teaching styles and approaches to meet these.• Develop individuals/group learning plans with learners and undertake review sessions to ascertain their achievements and the meeting of the learning outcomes.• Record, monitor and evaluate the course programme being delivered in relation to set targets and outcomes.• Support and supervise volunteers/assistant tutors working within your specific group and ensure they are clear about their roles and responsibilities.• Reflect and report on your progress as a tutor.• Ensure all required administrative records are completed.
