IPT and Technical Lead on the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). EMALS is the electromagnetic catapult for the next generation aircraft carrier (USS George Bush) developed by General Atomics. Lead the design effort for a team of seven engineers and managed schedule, risk and a $10 million dollar budget. Responsibilities included identifying software safety design issues, developing documentation, and coordinating with the management of the prime contractor. Total team members was working for me was 10.

IPT and Technical Lead for the DD(X) program team which provided the software infrastructure for the next generation destroyer. Analyzed performance of a SOA infrastructure, reported issues and made recommendations on ways to obtain the desired performance in a network-centric system. Managed a $17 million dollar budget and successfully lead the team to turn a $200k cost overrun into a $300k surplus based on a total budget of $3.6M. Lead geographically distributed teams, with a total of 15 developers, to deliver quality software on time and within budget under tight schedule constraint to achieve project success including CMMI Level 4 certification for IDS.
