Being born and raised in Phoenix, AZ I developed a love and respect for the desert that surrounds us here. The Sonoran desert is the most biologically diverse desert in the world so it is hard not to see its beauty. It was this beauty that has led to a great appreciation for the outdoors and most of my hobbies have to do with being outside. But the heat has also shaped my appreciation for the built environment to escape the heat. Shelter is a basic requirement and without it, it is impossible to thrive. So how do we provide high quality shelter that is functional and beautiful without causing harm to the environment? There is no one solution or one size fits all approach to this problem. However, I am working towards providing one of the solutions.If you are trying to find me try outside, I enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, making bee friends, and studying the natural world around us. I also enjoy traveling and have been to Mexico, Canada, Guatemala, England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.
