Currently Chief Electrical Engineer for the Pakawaste Group. We design, manufacture and integrate primarily waste handling and recycling machinery and systems. We also design and manufacture bespoke equipment solutions for various industries. I run the electrical department, within this I design the electrical power and control systems for each machine. I also program the P.L.C. and H.M.I.'s. 90% of the equipment is electro-hydraulic controlled so I also have accumulated a good degree of hydraulic knowledge. Software experience includes Siemens Step 7, TIA portal, MicroWin, WinCC, Logo. Rockwell RS Logix 500 & 5000. Mitsubishi GX developer. Omron CX one. Codesys. Schneider Zeliosoft. On a management side I run a small team of three permanent electricians, with one contractor and several field based engineers. I design and run electrical & software projects from initial proposal through to commissioning and post commissioning support.
