I qualified as an ARB registered Architect in March 2018 whilst in practice & continue to be involved in a wide range of projects across multiple sectors. I work closely with my experienced colleagues and our clients to progress projects & have been entrusted to manage projects on behalf of the practice as the Project Architect. Duties includes: liaising with project consultants; liaise with clients; progressing design development; obtaining Statutory Approvals; reviewing costs/budgets; reviewing (build) programmes; fulfilling Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015; fulfilling Contract Administrator duties; & more.In addition to these architectural duties, I fulfil the ongoing marketing responsibilities & now manage, update & source the content for the practice's Instagram page.

Whilst working full time I have been exposed to a wide range of clients, projects and scale of developments, with the majority being build through traditional procurement methods. Working in a small scale practice means my normal involvement for projects would be from the initial design stages & survey, through to completion. I work closely with my experienced colleagues and our clients to progress projects & have been entrusted to manage projects on behalf of the practice as the Project Architect. The range of different project I was exposed to enabled me to gain experience each RIBA Work Stages, which allowed me to gain valuable knowledge as I progressed towards completing my Part III professional exams to become an ARB qualified Architect. Having rebuilt & redesigned the practices website during an earlier placement, I undertook the responsibility of managing & updating its content thereafter. As ongoing progressing I also developed further marketing material to be used to raise the practice's profile, which was done in addition to my architectural duties.

I was involved with a variety of projects varying from a small flat alteration & renovation, to a larger 7 storey extensions onto an existing 4 storey building which was 'Grade A' listed. I worked closely with the Project Architect on all projects and had regular contact with clients & contractors. I produced drawings for various work stages, depending on the project, which often consisted of drawing up initial survey information, design drawings, Statutory Approval drawings/applications, construction issue drawings & site visits. During this period of employment I also dedicated much time to towards re-building & re-designing the practice's website, collating all necessary information from archives & creating new graphics where nessisary.
