KOSOVO, Jun – Dec 2022. Operations Officer for 3 PARA battlegroup. Deployed multiple times to conduct crises management meetings and strategic planning conferences as a representative of the UK’s contribution to the NATO mission within the region, cultivating relationships with key partner nations and stakeholders.IRAQ, Jan – Mar 2022. Operations Officer, discreet unit, UK Special Forces Support. Selected ahead of peers to manage and lead a task-force of 120 highly trained soldiers on counter-terrorism and force protection operations in an undisclosed location. Responsible for security and protection operations within a high-tempo, highly contested and dangerous environment.AFGHANISTAN, Aug – Sep 2021. Operations Officer for 3 PARA battlegroup. An immediate and emergency deployment to Afghanistan to coordinate 3 PARA’s contribution (300 soldiers) to the UK Mission evacuating British citizens and entitled personnel after the fall of Kabul to the Taliban. A highly publicised operation, within an extremely challenging and emotionally charged environment that required dynamic decision making and constant management of risk to overcome complex problem sets.

2015 - 2023 BRITISH ARMY2021 – Present. 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, Colchester – Operations Officer (Captain)• Premier appointment for a Captain, reflecting high performance in previous postings.• Developed, budgeted, and coordinated operations for 600+ personnel in high-risk, multi-stakeholder environments, selecting soldiers for deployment to multiple operational theatres across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.• Responsible for all unit commitments and outputs, including communication of plans, £1m ammunition budget allocation and alignment of unit activity to high-level strategic intent.2020 – 2021. 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, Colchester – Air Operations Officer (Captain)• Coordinated and controlled all air (both fixed and rotary wing) operations for 600+ personnel, both on operations and multinational training exercises.• Post required close collaboration with air and aviation partners from both the RAF and Civil Aviation Authority, ensuring operational/training outputs were achieved whilst adhering to the highest level of safety regulations.2018 – 2020. Infantry Training Centre, Catterick – Recruit Training Instructor (Lieutenant / Captain)• Managed, trained and mentored over 150 recruits, helping them achieve the elite level needed to pass the arduous Parachute Regiment training course, the British Army’s most elite recruit training and selection process.• Headed up a team of highly motivated instructors to deliver against key training objectives, managing their careers in the process through conducting appraisals, setting objectives and reviewing performance.2016 – 2018. 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, Colchester - Platoon Commander (Lieutenant)• Led a team of 30 paratroopers on operations and exercises both overseas (USA, Germany, Belize) and in the UK. • Conducted career management, welfare responsibilities and tactical command within an elite British Army unit.2015 – 2016.
