An immediate and emergency deployment to Afghanistan to coordinate 3 PARA’s contribution (300 soldiers) to the UK Mission evacuating British citizens and entitled personnel after the fall of Kabul to the Taliban. A highly publicised operation, within an extremely challenging and emotionally charged environment that required dynamic decision making and constant management of risk to overcome complex problem sets.

Infantry Training Centre, Catterick – Recruit Training Instructor (Lieutenant / Captain)• Managed, trained and mentored over 150 recruits, helping them achieve the elite level needed to pass the arduous Parachute Regiment training course, the British Army’s most elite recruit training and selection process.• Headed up a team of highly motivated instructors to deliver against key training objectives, managing their careers in the process through conducting appraisals, setting objectives and reviewing performance.2016 – 2018. 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, Colchester - Platoon Commander (Lieutenant)• Led a team of 30 paratroopers on operations and exercises both overseas (USA, Germany, Belize) and in the UK. • Conducted career management, welfare responsibilities and tactical command within an elite British Army unit.2015 – 2016.
