I am a highly qualified mechanical engineer with significant experience in leading multi-functional teams to deliver technical solutions to customers’ specifications. Throughout my career, I have defined project design requirements to cost for manufacture and assembly ensuring that designs are safe and meet the scope of supply.My current role requires me to manage all design and engineering elements of bids and impart technical experience to the bid team. For all projects, I am responsible for managing the generation of all design outputs from the engineering department.I possess an excellent knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques and engineering processes for solving contract requirements. I am highly proficient at Solidworks, and other 3D CAD packages using these tools daily and am required to check and authorise design, drawings and product build standards for the organisation.I regularly liaise directly with customers explaining technical issues and the design and engineering of the product from conception through to system development.I am a pragmatic problem solver by applying lateral thinking, adaptability and resourcefulness. I have a flair for ingenuity and am able to work rapidly with a high degree of accuracy from the initial conception of a project to the completed end product. I enjoy taking on new challenges, am comfortable under time pressures and have an aptitude for success. I also possess excellent communication skills and can inspire trust and confidence to the internal project team and also with the customer.
