Developed and implemented major systems integration project for High Throughput Screening (HTS) application that incorporated several stand-alone bench top instruments into a fully automated system. System included two robots and a linear track with microplate storage, plate reader and a fluidics workstation.

Mechanical design engineer on a new 300 mm semiconductor metrology tool. Responsibly for designing several new components including optical mounts, mechanisms and alignment tooling. Created assembly documentation for outsource vendor. Redesigned a prototype high precision stage module to fit in new vacuum chamber that also resulted in improved reliability and a 30% cost reduction. Developed and programmed new PC based controller (LabView) for an existing test fixture, resulting in greater measurment accuracy and higher throughput.

Improved MTBF by approximately 90% while reducing total cost by 20%. Reduced manufacturing cycle time by developing new automated test fixtures and alignment tooling. Mechanical team leader on new 300 mm development program and supported NPI for front end of tool.
