S Preece and Sons Traditional Plasterers.I have been involved in all aspects of internal and external, plain and decorative plaster and plasterwork for the past 37 years. Through this time I have worked on a range of modern and period constructions through out the country and Europe, and have gained knowledge and experience with a wide variety of materials and techniques from past to present periods. I have been fortunate enough to have worked alongside some of the leading conservation and restoration specialists in the field of plasterwork and associated trades.In my time as a plasterer I have trained three apprentices, all of whom have become specialist plasterers in the field of restoration and conservation. They are all members of 'The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers' and have achieved ' C&G Advanced Craft' and 'Heritage Level 3 Plasters' qualifications. One of the apprentices has been awarded a bursary grant to further his skills as a specialist plaster in the field of external and decorative stucco.I also voluntarily run practical demonstrations on behalf of The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers, The Listed Property Owners club, the Building Limes Forum, and IHBC members. During these demonstrations, I run in-situ decorative mouldings, apply traditional lime plasterwork to a variety of backgrounds and demonstrate the restoration of roman cement stucco facades.www.limeplastering.co.uk
