CurrentSchool Psychologist,clinician for behavior disordered students providing therapy to students.Devising behavior intervention plans to help modify student's behavior. Conducting group therapy focusing on social and coping skills.Conducting team meetings with staff in order to brainstorm solutions that best meet the student's needs.Leader of the school's crisis intervention team providing direction and supervision to members of the crisis team,make decisions concerning the safety of both the students and staff involved in a crisis. Working closely with the Principal and the local youth officer to make decisions concerning their behavior.Senior Staff Trainer in Crisis Prevention Institute's management of "out of control individuals" for the past 12 years. Train staff from within the school employed at and those from the 9 districts comprising the special education cooperative. Licensed to drive a vehicle seating 10 or under to provide outreach services to students who are school phobic or whose parents are unable to get them to school.Organize and arrange for staff to supervise students who are unsafe to take transportation home and are needing to stay after school.Assistant to the Principal-conducts multi-disiplinary staffings to decide eligibility and placement of students, consult with member districts providing input into their decision to refer students to the BD programm. Meet with new parents to explain the program and help them to feel comfortable with the recommended placement. Respond to the needs of the district representatives by providing feedback on their students, make suggestions and offfer consultation regarding their students prior to a placement in an alternative school.Communicate regularly with psychiatrists,mental health agencies and other physicians regarding students on my caseload.Participate in court proceedings regarding students on my caseload or as a representative of the school on behalf of the principal.
