Highlights included implementing a novel surface-surface intersection algorithm for the SolidDesigner product of Hewlett-Packard MDD (who became CoCreate, now part of Pro/E), managing the development of a sketcher for Sanei Giken Co. Ltd. of Japan, and implementing the numerical curve-surface intersection subsystem of D-Cubed's Hidden Line Manager product.

Stuart helped create the Parasolid geometric modelling kernel used in SolidWorks, OnShape and other leading 3D CAD systems. Perhaps his most visible contribution was the code that generates silhouette lines in the Hidden Line Removal subsystem.
