Leading Electrical Engineering Technician & Cat C Nuclear Watchkeeper Royal Navy Jan 2007 – Present A diverse, developing and prosperous career in the Royal Navy, starting as an engineering technician and culminating as head of section in a nuclear powered submarine. Responsible for defect rectification and fault finding on submarines single and 3 phase electrical distribution system including motors, generators, lighting, breakers, starters, and the upkeep of the main battery. Managing a small team of engineering technicians to ensure the submarines electrical systems are available to command under tight schedules. Duties include watch keeping on the submarines electrical and auxiliary systems whilst at sea and shutdown watchkeeping on the nuclear reactor while alongside.
