Perform a variety of carpentry tasks for residential and commercial projects including finishing works, first and second fix, timber framing, hardware, kitchen and bathroom installations, door and window installations, roofing/roof trusses, joists and flooring, joinery, trimming and finishing, windows and doors, and many others.Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand and power tools, guns, machines or saws, in a safe, efficient and productive manner to avoid accidents or injuries.Exhibit hands on experience with various installations, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with client requirements and specifications.Manage and perform a diverse array of carpentry tasks and assist with other tradesmen to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.Use knowledge of trades and construction standards, regulations, processes and best practices, and with highly informed knowledge of inspection and QA/QC procedures.Inspect and evaluate construction materials for defects or damaged frameworks, fixtures and other structures to ensure high-quality materials are being used for the project.Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. Keep and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and orderly manner and perform general housekeeping on site after each working day.Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.Adhere to all clients’ and Supervisor’s instructions and company regulations and ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation and procedures including health and safety.Attend safety meetings and toolbox talks and liaise with stakeholders to discuss about safety issues or concerns and project status.
