Security professional with experience in a range of management and analytical roles. In my most recent role I led the delivery of training to Defence Protective Security practitioners and their managers. Prior to this I gained practical experience as a Protective Security practitioner and threat analyst, progressing to become a Security operations manager.I hold a Master's degree in Intelligence and Security Studies. Highlights of this included studying the insider threat to organisations and the risk to National Security from Organised Crime. My second and third years focussed on domestic extremism, with my dissertation examining the threat to state institutions from far right extremism.To help consolidate my industry experience, I recently completed Level 6 study in Security Risk Management Consultancy and achieved recognition as a member of the Security Institute and the Chartered Institute for IT. Outside of work I am a keen runner and swimmer. After much too long I am also slowly re-learning the value of reading for pleasure.
