Head of Operational Response and Fire ProtectionForming part of the strategic leadership team who oversee the organisations direction to achieve our vision. The team have oversight of our Integrated Risk Management Plan to ensure focus is given to key areas and improvements are made where required. Day to day line management of two heads of group each directly responsible for our Wholetime and On-Call groups. I have responsibility for 28 fire stations of which 7 are Wholetime and 21 are On-Call. Fire cover is given via a range of shift systems that ensure the best fire cover is available to support the risk across the county of Cambridgeshire. Using our resources (people, appliances and stations) as effectively as possible to drive efficiency and productivity. In doing so creating as much capacity as possible to engage and keep the public safe in their homes, workplaces or leisure activities.

Form part of the a small group of peers who support and lead service delivery and manage the organisation on a day to day basis. Leading and supporting change, ensure prevention and response activities are prioritised and delivered by On-Call Staff based on risk. Support the wider Heads Of Groups that operate within the organisation to achieve the our IRMP targets through leading, managing and delivering the action plan set out for each group. Seek to form collaborations and consistentlydeliver value for money in all activities we undertake. Preparing for HMICFRS inspection to ensure CFRS are able to promote the excellent work that is being delivered to support the diverse communities we serve. The investment in personal development programmes to allow personnel to grow and develop their skills, ensuring people are at the centre of everything we do.
