Responsible for the day to day running of the MRI/OEM/NMR test lab, supervising a team of engineers. Duties include: • Scheduling all magnet system tests to ensure that daily achievements are matched to the company’s priority objectives. • Forecasting the department’s helium and nitrogen usage and aligning deliveries from multiple suppliers to suit. • Managing the Test Lab helium recovery system to minimise waste and maximise the return of processed gas back into the business. • Liasing with project/production engineers to ensure systems pass through test promptly and are signed off for shipment. • Generate test schedules to track system tests and predict system sign off. • Reporting test results at weekly production meetings. • Writing Test and Work Instructions, Risk and COSHH Assessments.

Duties included daily supervision/running of the NMR/MRI Test Lab. Organising and supervising a team of engineers to complete the testing of all systems in accordance with the companies quality standard and customer requirements. Compiling and presenting test results.

Duties include: • Responsible for the testing of all NMR/MRI magnet systems including pre clinical 7 Tesla whole body scanners, 4.7 to 9.4 Tesla MRI systems and 400 to 950MHz NMR systems. This included: nitrogen and helium cool downs, assembling vacuum systems and leak testing, energising magnets up to 300 amps and Optimising the homogeneity using supercon and passive shims. • Installation on Customer sites mostly in the UK, some international travel. • Maintaining the test departments’ calibration system. • Testing of magnet system gradient coils prior to final assembly.
