Further duties involved within the role is weekly communications to the distribution teams, visual merchandising, liaising with brand contacts and managing and training a small menswear team. Outwith this role I have taken on a multitude of responsibilities. Having being signed off my top level competency in October of 2013 I have become a key holder and duty manager of the store meaning that I hold the store on a regular basis as well as opening/closing the stores, administration duties and staff management to name but a few. At this stage I became responsible for the recruitment of all sales advisor staff (a role which continued until I left the Aberdeen store in September 2015). During this process I was responsible for creating adverts, selecting candidates, organising interviews, conducting interviews, contract negotiation, training and reviews. This allowed me to become directly involved with the future of the store and gave me an area in which I could show an other skill set. In addition to this I have continued my progression and development by aiding in all departments throughout the store and maintaining commercial and analytical knowledge of how each brand operates within our store and in the larger picture.
