Attivo are an Independent Chartered Financial Planners and Occupational Pension Specialist who support corporate and private clients. Progressed career with the business through advisory role before becoming Financial Planning Director and subsequently, securing senior-level management position of Managing Director. During my tenure, I led +20 acquisitions and steered their integration into the core business. I entered this role, leading the development and execution or organisational strategy, parallel to leading a large multi-disciplinary team. I presented strategies and results to the board and contributed to performance reviews, business direction planning, and decision making. I acted as Head of Proposition to drive firm independency and growth, leading on its design and recruitment. Additionally, I led the Financial Planning Academy and acted as Head of Training and Competence, and Head of Advice Policy. I was also performed as Pension Transfer Specialist, chairing the Proposition Committee, and contributed as a member of the Regulatory Oversight Board. When I started in this position, the business managed £350m in assets under agency with 25 employees in one office. Today, under my direction, the business now managed £3.5bn in assets under agency with 165 employees across 7 offices in England.

I progressed to this role to lead and develop a team of 16 Financial Planners and another team of 13 Para-Planners, steering compliant and holistic wealth management services across a total of £1bn in assets. I collaborated cross-functionally with key stakeholders to drive business development, change, and improvements and I worked independently as Head of Attivo Financial Planning Proposition to develop and implement the independent Attivo Investment and Advice Proposition. During my tenure, I became the Head of Attivo Financial Planning Academy to ensure the accelerated development of new Para-Planners and Financial Planners, and I performed as a member on the Regulatory Oversight Board and Acquisition Committee. At the end of 2020, I recruited new managers to support workload in readiness for my transition to the MD role. This enabled me provide focus on due diligence from Private Equity (PE). In 2021, we drew funding and grew team significantly to manage acquisitions and drive business growth. Notably, we completed 6 acquisitions in just 1-day with another 4 over the next 6-months.

The department was designed to nurture the sub £1m invested clients of Barclays Private Bank with clients typically holding investments of between £250k and £1m. During my tenure, I worked with invested clients, ensuring ongoing review and maintenance, in addition to identifying other advisory areas to support financial planning, including Pensions, Inheritance Tax, Protection, and Investment. I worked closely with internal stakeholders to develop and champion the new proposition and led the development of new team members, growing the team from 3 to 12 people.
