Chief Executive Officer: (CF1 & CF3 appointments approved by the PRA & FCA)Responsible for proposing Sharia compliant strategy to the Bank’s Board of Directors and managing the ADIB (UK) franchise and associated risks. Responsibilities included all aspects of the Bank’s financial performance, corporate governance, risk management, capital & liquidity management, operations, and overall Sharia inspired strategy. I led the Bank in establishing robust and effective Corporate Governance and Risk Management Frameworks, introduced and re-engineered the second line of defence, recruited additional staff to ensure segregation of duties and reduce key man dependency. I also led the business in designing Frameworks, Policies and Procedures and this included the production of CGF, RMF, ILAA, ICAAP, and the RRP. RCSA procedures were introduced, a Risk Inventory and an Operational Risk Register were developed, and internal procedures were overhauled or rewritten.
