I am an established and proven leader in organisational research with over fifteen years experience within the New Zealand vocational education sector. I am passionate about helping, support and develop the talent in others and forging purposeful relationships with all stakeholders. I have excellent communication and facilitation qualities and am confident in utilising a variety of tools to present clear and concise information to different audiences. I am focused on delivering the best outcome for learners, teachers, clients and customers. My expertise is in survey design, analysis and reporting, both separately and in conjunction with programme monitoring and evaluation. I am a committed data analyst and researcher who inspires and leads positive changes to support the best possible experience for learners. Strong professional skills in survey design, evaluations, quality assurance, analytical skills, data management, quantitative/qualitative research methodologies, and research design underpin all of my professional work. I have detailed knowledge and experience using Qualtrics, SPSS, Microsoft and PowerBI research, analysis and reporting tools.I have successfully led and implemented projects to significantly lift student engagement with evaluations systems and to enable decision makers to use a range of data to undertake evaluative conversations to lift the effectiveness of teaching and learning. I am an effective communicator and collaborator always with a future focus. I thrive in situations that use my research, evaluation, critical thinking, problem-solving, creative and design thinking skills to conceptualise, construct and implement effective solutions for organisations.I led Otago Polytechnic to be the first New Zealand Vocational Education Institution, first organisation in the South Island of New Zealand and second tertiary education institution to gain the Rainbow Tick accreditation. I also provided leadership that resulted in the organisation winning a national Rainbow Excellence award for policy, practice and implementation. I have extensive experience helping people and organisations build emotional commitment from staff to drives employees to the make the right decisions to support better business outcomes using professional feedback tools including 360 reviews and workplace engagement surveys. Through my current doctoral studies I researching how professional staff with vocational education construct their professional identity.
