With 17 years of dedicated teaching experience in inner city schools, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of education. My journey has encompassed a broad spectrum, from early years education right through to high school. Within my time as an administrator, I had a specialized focus on special educational needs, including Autism, severe learning difficulties, and profound and multiple learning difficulties. In addition to my teaching background, I have also honed my management skills in both educational and commercial settings, providing me with a unique perspective on leadership and teamwork. My strength lies in people management, where I have effectively coached both adults and students through challenging situations, fostering growth and development.My passion for education extends beyond the classroom, as I have delivered training to individuals and groups on various educational topics, including curriculum development, phonics, SCERT's, objects of reference, augmentative communication aids, and a range of early years practices.My professional journey has not been solitary; I have collaborated extensively with diverse partners in health, social work, psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, as well as the justice system and addiction support.
