In his current role as General Counsel and Company Secretary of Network Ten, Stuart Thomas is responsible for the provision of commercial and dispute resolution legal services to the TEN network of television stations as well as company secretarial services to the group companies. Stuart is a corporate and commercial lawyer, with deep experience in the Australian media sector. Previously, as principal of Thomas Law, he provided independent, strategic legal counsel and transaction services in the media, marketing, digital and creative industry verticals. In past corporate roles, Stuart has acted in the roles of Director Legal and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary at then named Macquarie Radio Network (owner of Sydney radio stations 2GB and 2CH) and also as General Counsel of Nine Network. Before transition to corporate life, Stuart was Partner of Gilbert & Tobin in the corporate and commercial division. Stuart is an admitted and practising legal practitioner in New South Wales.
