I rotated between 3 of the consulting divisions within the firm. I worked with the AgKnowledge group assisting in financial analysis and consulting for farms across the country. I worked with Paragon, an ag commodities brokerage and consulting group that provides risk management advice to farmer clients. My last rotation was with Pinion IO, a group that is developing a total back office solution for farms using artificial intelligence and data integration.

Ithaca, New York Area

I work in the Cornell Nutrient Management SPEAR Program, a lab focused on improving nutrient management practices for New York farmers. I have worked with manicuring yield data and creating reports for New York farmers and assisted in stalk nitrate testing.

Greater Memphis Area

I worked on the operational side of the world’s largest agricultural lab with over 100 farmers and 50,000 research acres. I created presentations for internal discussion and external presentation. I created financial models to evaluate costs of potential research projects, and assisted in daily operations and reporting.

Hillsboro, Alabama

I worked for an independent crop consultant for two summers. I scouted mostly cotton and some soybeans for diseases, weeds, and insects. I was tasked with collecting and recording data to see if pests were at a level that warranted a pesticide application.

I interned in the executive department of the American Farm Bureau Federation. I completed internal and external research projects and observed meetings to get a glimpse of the organization.
