My main roles and responsibilities were:Managing NEC3 contract for LVAC contracts 6 and 8, including reviewing contractor Applications for Payments (AfPs), Notice of Compensation Event (NCE) and Quotations via Asite to manage budgets and payments.Managing the external design contract and progressing designs through to construction delivery and handover.Reviewing and updating both internal and contractor’s programmes to ensure the project is delivered on time. As well as using programmes to forecast future spending and resource requirements.Managing procurement process for awarding future work streams, via framework contract, ensuring the most suitable bidder is awarded the contract.Introducing new working practices to continuously improve safety standards, including the first use of the ‘Zonzini’ stair-crawler to avoid manual handling.Raising, assessing the impact and managing change requests through the change control process. I also present changes to the change board in order to gain approval.Owning the risk register for live contracts, holding risk reduction meetings with contractors and implementing mitigation plans to minimise the impacts of risks.Managing the PM apprentices ensuring they are given clear direction and development opportunities throughout their placement.
