CurrentCurrently working on 2013 built DP3 Rigid Pipelay vessel "Deep Energy" Responsible for maintaining an Engineering watch on all machinery plant whilst vessel carries out DP class 3 Pipelay operations,subsea rov ops and transit's between worksites.Operating Kongsberg K Chief automated control system for ships systems and utilities.Responsible for operation and maintenance of Wartsila diesel Electric plant/ ABB and Rolls Royce propulsion and associated equipment. Hydraulic, pneumatic controls, Hotel services, HVAC and Reverse Osmosis/Evaporation water generating equipment. Ordering spares and maintenance planning. Overhaul and inspection of fixed equipment assets and checking parts are within manufacturer’s tolerances, pumps,valves, fuel injection equipment etc. In control of sludge, fuel and lube oil operations onboard including transfers and Alfa Laval processing equipment. Assist with planned work within tight schedules and overseeing contract workers for specialized work and refit periods and drydocks. Enter stock checks, requisitions and planned maintenance breakdown reports into planned maintenance system. Reporting to the First Engineer (Second).Carry out toolbox talks and risk assessments as part of the permit to work system and supervising engine room ratings with planned and breakdown maintenance. Trained and directed others on Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Proactively contribute to company safety suggestion and hazard observation policy and designed and implemented solutions to safety issues. Taking part and developing training drills to cover emergency situations within the machinery spaces and to ensure the safety of crew, vessel and subsea assets by maintaining position through redundancy systems as per IMCA guide lines.
