I am Chief Executive of the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH), a world-leading, independent, not-for-profit research institute carrying out excellent environmental science across water, land and air. UKCEH science plays a vital role in tackling today’s major environmental challenges. We provide the data and insights that researchers, governments and businesses around the world need to create a productive, resilient and healthy environment for people and nature to prosper together.From a range of roles in the UK Government and elsewhere I bring a strong track record of leadership, strategy, science, organisational change and crisis management. I believe passionately in using science to tackle the greatest challenges we face and improve peoples lives.
