Mermaid Safety Services Ltd. and Beacon Subsea Ltd. merged their operations in 2013 into a comprehensive offshore business named Beacon Offshore Ltd. The merged company is ISO 9001:2008 accredited and intended to combine Thailand's leading marine safety services supplier with the fast growing subsea business of Beacon Subsea, which, together, will provide shipping and offshore oil & gas companies operating in or about the Gulf of Thailand with a quality one-stop service.The enlarged business will cover Mermaid's established liferaft and lifeboat servicing/certification,rope access and non-destructive testing activities, fire-fighting equipment servicing and STS transferhose testing together with Beacon's rapidly expanding subsea business that includes all diver relatedwork on inshore and offshore facilities. Following a capital raising exercise, Beacon Offshore now intends to acquire additional service vessels to better meet clients' needs. The two founder companies have over 30 years of business experience in Thailand and operate out of head office in Pinthong Industrial Estate near Laem Chabang, and branch office in Songkhla in the south of Thailand.
