Responsible for the management and development of Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Fundraising Data teams
Working closing with the new Chief Executive of the newly created independent hospital charity, I was responsible for the management and development of integrated fundraising strategies and the development of community fundraising/engagement activities for the two hospitals to achieve a step change in voluntary income from individual’s, community engagement, fundraising volunteers and legacies. As a member of the senior management team, I was responsible for devising and implementing the overall fundraising strategy and the development of a new 5 year community & legacy fundraising strategy. • Increased community giving by 35.5% in the first 6 months, and increased net income generation from £1.2 million in 2012/13 to £ 2.3 million in 2013/14• Developed and implemented new five year community & legacy fundraising strategy• Developed a volunteer recruitment and engagement strategy for the charity• Developed a suite of fundraising and marketing leaflets for use in the hospitals and community engagement• Undertook a strategic review of the charities CRM database (Raisers Edge) and implemented new fundraising and campaign codes to ensure accurate and relevant data analysis and financial analysis of campaign results to maximise the value of data across all supporter engagement activities• Responsible for the recruitment of key fundraising staff (including recruitment of a community fundraiser – Royal Brompton)• Developed and implemented a new legacy fundraising strategy and the development of legacy pledger/recruitment programmes
As Head of Community Fundraising, I was responsible for developing, implementing and managing a new integrated community fundraising fundraising strategy for Guide Dogs to drive the development and growth of Community Fundraising income from £3.4 million in 2009 to £7.8 million by 2016. Leading, motivating and managing a diverse Community Fundraising team, I was responsible for directly line managing a team of seven, (four Community Fundraising Business Partners, a National Schools and Youth Engagement Manager, two Community Fundraising Support staff) as well as matrix managing 49 regionally based Community Fundraisers.As a member of the Senior Fundraising Management Team, I was responsible for identifying and developing new support systems to reflect the evolving fundraising strategy of Guide Dogs and to ensure they were delivered in a coordinated and consistent way across national and regionally based operational departments.Due to a organisational restructure this position was made redundant
