Always up for a challenge I am currently completing my undergraduate BSc (hons) Leisure and events management degree. A defining moment in this decision was a holiday to Walt Disney World and seeing the buzz around the park, not just for the attractions but for the parades and various events. I thought to myself that I wanted to create that type of excitement and buzz for others.Previously working in hospitality has provided me with on-hands experiencing working in events which includes weddings, gala dinners, business conferences and award shows. My current role is very customer focused and I often strike up a conversation with them as I am a sociable person.I also aim to remember customer preference's as I feel it brings attention to detail and that touch of personalisation. The 2 main things I have learned about myself throughtout my worklife is my adaptability to new environments but also a love for new challenges and things to learn.Outside of work I am currently trying to learn spanish, as speaking a language is a bucket list item for me. The university also encourages students to volunteer which I find rewarding & throughly enjoyable. I plan to continue with this after I complete my degree. Drawing is also an interest of mine though I wouldn't consider myself to be great at it but I love an opportunity to be creative. Another aspiration would be travelling as I have several places on my bucket list including Rome, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Athens!Eager to pursue a Career in events and an upcoming placement year.
